So Dave. Word on the street is you're decent with a blade.
Not that there's much of a street to give word on, but not really sure that's ever stopped anyone.

[ he's standing on the roof with a sword in hand, still feeling pretty freaked out about this whole ordeal. it wasn't that he wouldn't want to strife with dirk (as a matter of fact he can feel himself tremble and he knew part of it is from excitement), but he's worried. worried that he's not good enough, and that dirk won't be satisfied with him.

bro taught him well, he knew that. he also knew that dirk wasn't bro but sometimes when he doesn't think about it he can definitely see a flash of bro in him. and when he feels comfortable enough he'll even rag on dirk a little, for things bro did like giving him an avalanche of puppet dong for his birthday before tacking on a simple 'yeah, i know you're different people'. he knew that very well.

but even knowing they're different people doesn't stop him from feeling nervous. and in the end despite the complicated back story and ectoshenannies it was really simple:

he wanted dirk to like him. ]
